About Milton Keynes Film Club

Hello, my name is Joanna and I have been the director of the Milton Keynes Film Club since June 2016.

We predominantly run after school filmmaking clubs with Primary aged children in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

We do occasional in school work, including Lunchtime clubs.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree (with Honours) in Drama and Media, my business is a fantastic way to use this knowledge and share what I love with children who have similar interests in the Arts.

The club normally runs for 10 sessions, running with 5 sessions each side of the half term (there is some flexibility with this). The children are involved in the pre-production of making a film (storyboard planning), then make decisions about their character and costume. They then take part in the filmmaking process, acting in front of the camera, being part of the camera crew (for example as director, clapperboard assistant and camera operator). We bring in a green screen, camera, tripod, clapperboard and some basic props for the children to use.

Parents then receive a downloadable copy of the films.

All staff are DBS checked and the company has Public Liability Insurance.
